What's the legal window tint limit in North Carolina?
North Carolina allows 35% VLT (visible light transmission) on the front side windows, back side windows and rear glass of most sedans, with a 3% tolerance. On trucks, SUVs and vans, the front two windows must be 35% while the windows behind the driver can be any darkness. The windshield may have a non-reflective tint strip down to the AS-1 line (about the top 5 inches). We install to keep you legal — just ask.
What's the difference between ceramic and standard tint?
Our ceramic film (Max Cool IR) blocks far more infrared heat, so your cabin stays noticeably cooler, and it won't interfere with phone or GPS signal. Standard film (XCL Pro) still looks sharp and cuts glare and UV at a lower price. Both carry the same limited lifetime warranty.
How long does an installation take?
Most vehicles are finished the same day — typically a couple of hours depending on the vehicle and how many windows you're having done. We'll give you a clear time when you book.
Is the film applied to the inside or outside of the glass?
Inside. Automotive tint is professionally installed on the interior surface of your glass, which protects the film and gives that clean, factory look.
Is the back glass tinted in one piece?
Yes — on most vehicles we apply the rear glass as a single piece (not strips), heat-shrinking and fitting it to the curve of the window for a seamless finish.
What does the warranty cover?
Our film carries a limited lifetime warranty against fading, bubbling, cracking and peeling for as long as you own the vehicle.
Can you remove old or failing tint?
Absolutely. We remove old tint — $20 per door window and $100 for a windshield or back glass — and can re-tint with fresh film.
Can you tint a minor's vehicle?
Yes. We're happy to tint a vehicle owned or driven by a minor, installed to North Carolina's legal limits.
